AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Business owners need to consistently strive to reduce their overall expense outlays. Most focus on "controllable" expenses and revenue enhancement activities to make them profitable. There are issues that appear uncontrollable, confusing, or untenable so they are often postponed for study or ignored until they rear their ugly head and as Barney Fife used to say we needed to "nip them in the bud". These issues are often key components of business risk management.
A key step is to assess the external and internal risk of a business to determine what is necessary to proceed with a strong mitigation solution. Insurance represents a portion of the solution because it involves a risk transfer expenditure.
Fluid issues that can adversely impact cost could range from a firm's reputation damage after a data security breach to having a proactive Human Resource and fleet safety programs.
